Food doesn’t just fill our plates – it fills our lives with stories, memories, and connections that span generations. My path to culinary storytelling began in an unexpected place: at 35, I was a travel photographer documenting cultural festivals across Southeast Asia when I realized that every meaningful moment I captured centered around food.

From the bustling street markets of Bangkok to the family-run restaurants in Hanoi, I discovered that the real story of any culture lives in its kitchens. After spending a decade capturing other people’s food stories through my lens, I decided it was time to create my own narrative.
The transition happened organically during a three-month stay in my grandmother’s village in Tuscany. While helping her prepare traditional family recipes, I found myself not just taking photos, but documenting techniques, gathering stories, and learning the secrets passed down through generations. Each dish was more than ingredients and methods – it was a piece of living history.
