Description

Roasted Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese is a mouthwatering blend of creamy cheese and spicy jalapeños, making it the perfect indulgence for cozy nights and snack cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fresh jalapeños
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Halve the jalapeños lengthwise, remove seeds (for less heat), and place cut-side up on the sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and charred.
  4. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and garlic powder until smooth.
  5. Chop the roasted jalapeños and mix them into the cheese mixture.
  6. Butter one side of each bread slice. Spread half of the cheese mixture on one slice, top with another slice butter-side up.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Let it rest for a minute before slicing in half.
