Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 1 lb large shrimp, deveined
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve one cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about one minute).
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque (approximately 2-3 minutes per side). Remove shrimp from skillet.
- In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually add Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return shrimp to the skillet along with drained pasta, tossing everything together. Add reserved pasta water as needed for desired sauce consistency.
