Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ¾ cup pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Mix in melted butter, sugar, and salt.
  2. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place dough in an oiled bowl; cover and let rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter over it, sprinkle brown sugar, chopped pecans, and drizzle maple syrup.
  5. Roll up the dough from one edge into a log shape and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; drizzle remaining maple syrup over them. Let rise again for 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
