  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup colorful sprinkles
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, melted butter, eggs, salt, and the yeast mixture. Mix until it forms a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about an hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick), spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar, and fun sprinkles.
  5. Roll tightly from one end to form a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and arrange rolls in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for 30 minutes before baking for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before drizzling with icing made from powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
