  • 1 cup fresh or thawed blueberries
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Make the dough: Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl; add the yeast mixture and softened butter. Stir until shaggy.
  3. 3. Knead: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. 5. Prepare filling: Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and add blueberries.
  6. 6. Roll & cut: Roll tightly into a log, slice into 12 pieces and place in a greased baking dish.
