Ingredients

  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast

  • 2 Large Eggs

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt until a shaggy dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Roll out the dough to ½ inch thick, spread cold butter evenly, then sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Fold the dough into thirds, cut into strips, twist each strip, and place upright in muffin tins.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
