Description

Creamy rice pudding made with cooked rice is a comforting dessert that combines sweet vanilla and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 4 cups whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the cooked rice, milk, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir well.
  2. Allow the mixture to simmer gently, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Once simmering, stir in the butter and add raisins if using.
  4. Cook for about 20 minutes on low heat until thickened and creamy, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve warm or chill in the refrigerator. Top with extra cinnamon or fresh fruit if desired.
