- 4 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in thinly sliced potatoes, followed by garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- In a bowl, combine milk and cheddar cheese until smooth. Pour over the meat and potatoes mixture.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish; cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving; top with optional green onions or sour cream if desired.
