- 4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- spices: paprika, oregano, salt & pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned and crumbled.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked rice, tomato sauce, sautéed mixture, and spices until well combined.
- Stuff each bell pepper with the beef mixture.
- Place stuffed peppers in a baking dish covered with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
