Halal Meatball Subs with Marinara Sauce are a delightful blend of juicy meatballs, rich marinara, and melted mozzarella nestled in warm sub rolls, making them perfect for quick dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Ground beef or lamb
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Fresh parsley
  • Eggs
  • Garlic powder
  • Marinara sauce
  • Sub rolls
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, parsley, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Shape into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned.
  4. While baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan. Once meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Slice sub rolls open lengthwise. Fill each roll with several meatballs and sauce.
  6. Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese and broil for a few minutes or let sit until melted.
  7. Serve hot with side chips or salad.
