  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In one bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  4. In another bowl, whisk an egg until frothy; dip each chicken breast in the egg and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  6. For the garlic sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer until slightly thickened. Add lemon juice before serving.
